TL;DR - Engineer, Dad, Husband, loves non-fiction books, tinkerer, creator, irregular youtuber, Player of Badminton, Board-game geek.
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, in 2011. At 22, I moved to Germany to pursue a Master's in Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg. During my studies, I worked as a research assistant at Fraunhofer ISE, investigating surface topology variations of large solar concentrators. I also worked as a teaching assistant at IMTEK, guiding students through microsystems design.
In 2013, I joined the Laboratory for Microactuators as a research assistant, completing my master's thesis on the performance comparison and long-term stability of tunable lenses. In 2015, I began my PhD, developing adaptive mirror elements for femtosecond laser applications in a DFG-funded project. Alongside my research, I taught undergraduate courses and maintained key lab equipment like UV structuring lasers, CNC mills, and more.
Currently, I work as a Process Development Engineer at Robert Bosch GmbH. When I’m not working, I spend quality time with my wife and two kids. I’m also a passionate tinkerer, always creating new things. I enjoy working with my hands and excel at arts and crafts, constantly experimenting with new ideas.
